Happy New Year! There is something calming about “business as normal” in a less then normal business. With all the talk about peaks and valleys in Vancouver and Toronto this past year our market here in Calgary stayed fairly consistent throughout 2012 with talk being that Calgary should lead the way in 2013.
2012 saw good turnover in some of our favorite loft buildings with 4 sales in each the Imperial, Lewis and Orange Lofts. Calgary Loft sales have been strong and very consistent year over year (see below) however, one somewhat concerning stat from 2012 is that there were 24 Lofts that expired from their listing contract without a suc-cessful sale. That means: for every two Lofts that sold, one didn’t.
